Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Agentic Software Development)

We are looking to grow our team with a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who has hands-on project experience in agentic software development .

In this role you’ll work close to customer engineering and operational teams. You’ll use AI agents as a core part of your daily engineering workflow to deliver real software in complex, domain-specific environments. These can include embedded systems, industrial and production environments, automotive, telecom, and platform/backend development. This is a software engineering role. It is not a Data Science or predictive modelling position, and general exposure to GenAI tools or coding assistants alone is not enough.

Please note: Candidates must hold an EU passport or have EU work eligibility. Depending on the assignment, the working model may be remote, hybrid with occasional customer visits, or onsite. Location is defined case by case.

Responsibilities

• Use AI agents to explore and understand existing, often complex, codebases
• Plan and implement code changes with agent-assisted workflows, while keeping ownership of quality and design
• Run tests, analyse results and iterate on the implementation based on them
• Work closely with customer engineering and operations teams to understand their domain and processes
• Turn domain requirements into robust, production-ready software
• Share agentic engineering practices with the team and contribute to a strong team spirit

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in design, testing, version control, CI/CD and code quality
• Proven, hands-on project experience in agentic software development: using AI agents across the full workflow, from codebase exploration and planning to implementation, testing and iteration
• Relevant industry or domain experience, such as embedded, industrial/production, automotive, telecom, platform/backend or other domain-specific contexts
• Experience working close to customer engineering or operational processes, and the ability to learn a new domain quickly
• Ability to share a concrete example of your own agentic software development work
• Strong professional English; other languages are a plus
• EU passport or EU work eligibility, and openness to customer visits or onsite work when required
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and a strong communicator and team player
