What they need

Senior FP&A Analyst — H2 Health

Retained Executive Search conducted by RB Partners

THE OPPORTUNITY

H2 Health is a rapidly scaling, private equity–backed outpatient rehabilitation platform delivering physical therapy and allied health services across the United States. With approximately 300 clinic locations and ~$250M in revenue across multiple divisions, the organization is in a critical phase of platform maturation—continuing to grow through acquisitions while strengthening enterprise-level financial rigor, controls, and reporting.

As the company continues to mature, H2 Health is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to serve as a senior, high-trust member of a lean, high-impact Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, this individual will act as their right hand and proxy—owning core planning and reporting deliverables while providing the critical second set of eyes that ensures every number reaching executives, lenders, and the Board is accurate and defensible.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, detail-driven finance professional who wants real ownership of the FP&A function, immediate visibility to senior leadership, and a direct hand in strengthening the credibility of finance across a fast-growing healthcare platform.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior FP&A Analyst will operate as the number two to the VP of FP&A—capable of representing the function when they are unavailable and of elevating the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of everything the team produces. Success requires a blend of technical FP&A depth, exceptional attention to detail, and the maturity to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a driver-based model, pressure-testing a colleague's work before it reaches the Board, and translating large volumes of multi-site operational data into a clear, executive-ready story.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Own and support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning across multiple divisions and ~300 clinic locations
  • Develop and maintain driver-based financial models that support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Prepare monthly variance analyses and communicate key findings to leadership
  • Support executive, board, and lender reporting initiatives

Quality Control & Deliverable Integrity

  • Serve as a dependable proxy for the VP of FP&A, representing the function and its deliverables when needed
  • Act as a rigorous second set of eyes—reviewing models, reports, and Board materials for accuracy, consistency, and integrity before they reach executives
  • Establish and reinforce review routines and controls that strengthen the credibility of the finance function

Operational & Revenue-Cycle Analysis

  • Analyze performance across a multi-site, multi-state healthcare services organization at the clinic, divisional, same-store, acquisition, and de novo levels
  • Apply revenue-cycle knowledge—reimbursement, collections, cash, payer performance, and insurance claims—to sharpen forecasting and analysis
  • Monitor key healthcare performance indicators, including visits, productivity, revenue per visit, labor efficiency, and profitability
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand business drivers and provide actionable recommendations

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Extract, organize, validate, and analyze large, high-volume datasets from multiple systems, including Sage Intacct, Raintree, and business intelligence platforms
  • Develop reporting frameworks and analytical tools that improve decision-making
  • Continuously improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, automation, and data governance

Technology & Process Improvement

  • Leverage financial systems, reporting tools, and emerging technologies to improve workflow efficiency
  • Utilize AI-powered tools and large language models to enhance productivity, analysis, and reporting where they add value
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analytical processes

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Executive Leadership teams
  • Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and special projects across the business
  • Serve as a trusted analytical resource for business leaders throughout the organization

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles—we expect the strongest fit will bring roughly 8–10+ years of professional experience, though we welcome exceptional candidates with less who demonstrate comparable depth and judgment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial-modeling skills, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and large dataset management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy in high-stakes, executive-facing deliverables
  • Experience analyzing multi-site (and ideally multi-state) operations with high volumes of data
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • A self-starter able to work independently, own outcomes, and operate as a proxy for finance leadership in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare services industry experience, including revenue-cycle exposure (reimbursement, billing, collections, payer performance)
  • Multi-site and multi-state business experience
  • Private equity–backed company experience
  • Sage Intacct and/or Raintree experience
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow and productivity tools

Preferred Attributes

  • Detail-obsessed, with personal ownership of accuracy
  • Energetic, driven, and proactive—a genuine go-getter who thrives in a lean, high-accountability team
  • Articulate and credible with senior leadership
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable in a private equity–backed, growth-oriented environment

WORK ARRANGEMENT, LOCATION & TRAVEL

  • This is a primarily remote role with a flexible, hybrid structure
  • Preference for candidates in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro area or in Central/Eastern time zones to support occasional in-person collaboration
  • Periodic travel to Jacksonville, Florida (and/or Dallas) for team collaboration, planning, and key business initiatives

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive compensation model commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Long-term growth opportunity within a private equity–backed healthcare platform
