What they need
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior FP&A Manager based in the United States. This is a strategic finance leadership role focused on shaping enterprise-wide financial planning and performance in a high-growth technology environment.
You will own budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts, and financial analysis across the organization.
Working closely with senior executives, you will translate complex financial data into clear insights that support critical business decisions.
The role also provides significant exposure to board-level reporting, strategic initiatives, risk assessment, and scenario modeling.
You will help modernize financial systems, strengthen KPI frameworks, and improve the speed and accuracy of planning and reporting.
Beyond individual contribution, you will build and develop a high-performing FP&A function with strong technical and analytical standards.
This remote opportunity is well suited to an experienced finance leader who combines strategic thinking, SaaS expertise, and strong executive communication.
Accountabilities
- Lead enterprise financial planning: Own the annual budgeting process, rolling multi-year forecasts, and long-range strategic planning across business units.
- Advise executive leadership: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CFO, CEO, and executive team, providing financial perspectives, risk assessments, scenario analyses, and recommendations for major strategic initiatives.
- Drive performance analysis: Oversee actual-versus-plan variance reporting, identify the underlying drivers of revenue and margin performance, and recommend appropriate strategic actions.
- Support board and investor reporting: Develop and present clear, compelling financial materials for the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and other external financial stakeholders.
- Strengthen financial infrastructure: Modernize planning, reporting, and financial technology systems to improve efficiency, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
- Improve KPI alignment: Recalibrate operational and enterprise-level KPIs across functions to ensure business performance remains aligned with financial objectives.
- Build the FP&A organization: Develop, mentor, and scale a high-performing FP&A team while establishing strong analytical, technical, and professional standards.
- Partner across the business: Collaborate with finance partners and leaders throughout the organization to generate actionable insights and support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, planning methodologies, reporting practices, and decision-making capabilities.
Requirements
- Professional experience: 8–10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, or management accounting, preferably within a technology or software organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; an MBA or CPA qualification is preferred.
- Enterprise FP&A leadership: Demonstrated success leading FP&A at scale, ideally within a public company or high-growth, private-equity-backed environment.
- Executive communication: Exceptional communication, financial storytelling, and presentation skills, with the confidence to explain and defend financial analysis to executive teams and Board-level stakeholders.
- Financial systems expertise: Deep proficiency with enterprise financial and planning tools such as NetSuite, Google Sheets, and Adaptive Insights.
- SaaS knowledge: Strong understanding of SaaS business models and financial metrics, including ARR, CAC, margins, and other key growth and efficiency indicators; experience with consumption-based models is a plus.
- Strategic judgment: Strong business judgment, curiosity, analytical thinking, and the ability to connect financial performance with broader business strategy.
- Ownership and execution: Self-directed and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities, operate effectively in fast-paced environments, and proactively identify improvements.
- Leadership mindset: Proven ability to build trusted relationships across an organization and operate as a strategic finance partner rather than solely as a reporting function.
- Work arrangement: The role is remote in the United States, with a hybrid working model strongly preferred.
Benefits
- Remote flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in the United States, with a hybrid arrangement strongly preferred.
- Competitive compensation: Compensation aligned with experience, expertise, and organizational needs.
- Career growth: Opportunity to take on significant enterprise-level financial leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
- Leadership impact: Direct exposure to executive leadership, Board-level reporting, and company-wide financial strategy.
- Professional development: Opportunity to build and scale an FP&A function while developing financial systems, processes, and team capabilities.
- Technology environment: Work with modern enterprise planning and financial platforms, including NetSuite and Adaptive Insights.
- Inclusive workplace: Commitment to a diverse, equitable, and supportive working environment where different perspectives and backgrounds are valued.
