Senior Front-End Developer (JavaScript) - Part-time Position

We are looking for a remote Senior Front-End Developer (JavaScript) with 5+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Squarespace to join our U.S. client on a project basis. In this role, you will build an interactive, mobile-responsive savings calculator as a lead-generation landing page within Squarespace, allowing restaurant owners to enter their marketplace delivery costs, calculate potential savings, and submit their contact information through a HubSpot form.

Their solution increases brand loyalty through improved customer experiences, optimizes operations resulting in lower costs, and increases sales volumes through comprehensive analytics and employee performance insights. Responsibilities

• Develop a responsive, interactive savings calculator landing page based on existing Figma designs
• Build the solution using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, packaged into a self-contained implementation compatible with Squarespace Code Blocks
• Implement dynamic forms with conditional fields, real-time validation, and user-friendly input formatting
• Develop configurable calculation logic to estimate restaurant marketplace commission costs and potential monthly savings
• Research existing client calculators, propose savings calculation assumptions, and implement the approved formulas
• Create interactive transitions and animations between calculator inputs, calculation progress, and results
• Ensure responsive behavior across desktop, iPhone, and Android devices
• Build a placeholder form and prepare the page for HubSpot form integration, including consistent styling and submission confirmation behavior
• Organize content, image references, and calculation variables into easily editable configuration sections
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize the entire user experience within the Squarespace environment
• Collaborate with Marketing to validate the calculation logic and ensure accurate implementation of approved requirements

Required Experience

• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work with business and marketing stakeholders
• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
• Strong proficiency in vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience developing interactive interfaces with conditional rendering, form validation, and dynamic calculations
• Experience implementing responsive, mobile-first designs
• Ability to translate Figma designs into accurate, production-ready web interfaces
• Understanding of browser compatibility, mobile usability, and accessibility best practices
• Experience implementing CSS animations, transitions, and interactive UI components
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-organized JavaScript without depending on frameworks or external libraries
• Experience handling financial inputs, currency formatting, percentages, and calculation logic
• Strong debugging skills and experience testing across multiple browsers and devices
• Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment

Desired Experience

• University degree or relevant industry experience
• Previous experience with Squarespace, particularly custom Code Blocks, JavaScript customization, and CSS isolation
• Experience with HubSpot forms, embedded lead-generation forms, or similar marketing integrations
• Experience developing ROI calculators, pricing calculators, or financial estimation tools
• Familiarity with conversion-focused landing pages and lead-generation workflows
• Knowledge of web accessibility, including reduced-motion preferences
• Experience with Wordpress
• Experience collaborating with U.S.-based marketing teams
