Senior Frontend Developer / Frontend Lead

What you'll be doing

• Own and improve frontend development standards and architecture
• Build responsive websites, landing pages, microsites and interactive digital experiences
• Work with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue or Astro
• Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs, CMS platforms and analytics
• Improve web performance, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
• Work with CI/CD, Git workflows and engineering quality standards
• Support sprint planning, technical estimation and project feasibility
• Provide technical guidance and code-quality oversight to junior/offshore developers
• Work directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Advise on feasibility, scope and alternative approaches when required

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript
• Commercial experience with React, Next.js, Vue, Astro or similar
• Strong HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and responsive web development
• Experience integrating REST APIs and/or GraphQL
• Experience with frontend performance optimization
• Solid Git/GitHub and CI/CD understanding
• Previous experience taking technical ownership of frontend projects
• Comfortable mentoring or providing technical direction to other engineers
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Business-level Japanese, JLPT N2 or above
• Business English

• Headless CMS experience
• Jira / Confluence / Agile development
• Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js or PlayCanvas
• Interactive 3D/web experiences
• AWS CloudFront or similar web delivery technologies
• Automotive, agency or digital production experience
• Accessibility knowledge, particularly WCAG / JIS X 8341
