Senior Frontend Engineer I - eCommerce

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer I - eCommerce to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will focus on delivering a high-performing, accessible booking and checkout experience that supports customer conversion in a healthcare setting. You will partner closely with Product and Marketing to ship experiments, improve funnel performance, and help shape the frontend architecture behind a high-traffic transactional journey.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with modern React development and a strong eye for usability, performance, and technical quality. This is an opportunity to build customer-facing experiences that directly influence how people engage with preventative healthcare services.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $145,000 – $170,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own features within the booking experience, including checkout and payments
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing to ship and analyze experiments on the booking funnel
• Build fast, accessible features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Contribute to frontend architecture and design, with a focus on sensible component boundaries
• Integrate the booking experience with APIs and third-party services
• Instrument features for performance and analytics while respecting customer consent
• Improve Core Web Vitals and rendering performance on a high-traffic funnel

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, with 3+ years in React and TypeScript
• Strong experience with Next.js or similar React frameworks, including server-side rendering and routing
• Deep understanding of browser fundamentals, including semantic HTML and modern CSS
• Experience with data-fetching and state management patterns such as TanStack Query and Zustand
• Strong testing practices using tools such as Vitest, Testing Library, and Playwright
• Experience building transactional flows, particularly in checkout and payment systems
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance metrics (Core Web Vitals)
