We are currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer on behalf of one of our European-based clients.

About the Client

Our client is an established EdTech SaaS company that develops a comprehensive platform used by educational institutions to manage critical operational, academic, and administrative processes.

Their platform supports a wide range of functions, including student information management, attendance tracking, reporting, finance, and other core education workflows. With a mature product, growing customer base, and ambitious development roadmap, they are expanding their engineering team and looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to help build new functionality, modernise existing modules, and contribute to the continued evolution of a highly scalable software platform.

The engineering team operates in a collaborative, product-focused environment where developers take ownership of features from concept through delivery and work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders.

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining features across both frontend and backend systems.

You will own entire modules from development through delivery, working primarily with React, TypeScript, PHP, Symfony, and GraphQL. You will contribute to both new feature development and the ongoing modernisation of legacy components within a large and mature application.

This role requires someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working within large-scale systems, and collaborating closely with product teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack features across frontend and backend systems
• Build new modules and enhance existing functionality within a large-scale SaaS platform
• Develop user-facing functionality using React and TypeScript
• Build and maintain backend services using PHP and Symfony
• Design, build, and maintain APIs and GraphQL integrations
• Collaborate closely with Product teams throughout the design, planning, and delivery process
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, and solution design
• Help modernise legacy modules and align them with current engineering standards and best practices
• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
• Take ownership of features throughout the full development lifecycle
• Work closely with architects and senior engineers to improve platform capabilities and developer experience

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of professional full stack software development experience
• Minimum 3 years of recent commercial experience with React or any modern JavaScript framework
• Minimum 3 years of recent commercial experience with PHP
• Strong experience with TypeScript
• Experience working with Symfony, Laravel, or another modern PHP framework
• Proven experience building and maintaining full stack web applications across frontend and backend systems
• Proven experience delivering features end-to-end, from user interface through backend services and database integration
• Experience designing, building, and consuming APIs
• Experience integrating frontend applications with backend services
• Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and engineering best practices
• Experience working on large-scale, complex applications, ERP systems, or SaaS platforms
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
• Experience collaborating directly with Product Managers, Designers, and technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Communication Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Near-native or bilingual-level English proficiency strongly preferred
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable participating in frequent video calls, sprint planning sessions, technical discussions, and collaborative problem-solving
• Able to challenge requirements constructively, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute ideas during product and technical discussions
• Confident communicating within a highly collaborative and communication-driven engineering environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across distributed teams
