Senior Full Stack Developer

About the role

This is a contractual opportunity for a Senior Full Stack Developer working remotely in the Philippines Time Zone. The resource will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, developing front-end and back-end components, and ensuring the integration of various systems. The developer will optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, implement security and data protection measures, and conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables. Additionally, the developer will provide technical support and documentation, participate in code reviews, and stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend improvements. The developer is expected to deliver robust, user-friendly, and efficient web solutions that align with ADB's standards and project goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable and robust cloud-native solutions, ensuring architecture aligns with best practices for cloud-native applications, including microservices, containerization, and serverless computing
• Develop front-end and back-end components using modern frameworks and technologies, implement APIs and integrate with third-party services as required
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and code reviews
• Set up and configure cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and scaling
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes
• Implement security best practices to protect data and applications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the application and infrastructure, implementing caching, load balancing, and other techniques to enhance performance and reliability
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for developed solutions, including architecture diagrams, code comments, and user guides
• Provide training and support to the development team and stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's degree advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in full stack development, with strong emphasis on cloud-native design and architecture
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular
• Expertise in back-end development using languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing
• Strong understanding of database technologies, e.g. SQL, NoSQL, and CosmosDB
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Experience with agile development methodologies and various testing activities (functional, non-functional, system integration, user acceptance, performance testing, security testing)
