Senior Full Stack Developer

Tusk Software is growing and we’re looking for individuals who excel in their areas of expertise to join our team. We are currently accepting applications for Senior Full Stack Developer role to work remote OR on-site at our main office located in downtown Knoxville, TN.

Must Haves

• Deep proficiency in one of our primary backend stacks - .NET/C# or Node/TypeScript - and in one of our primary client-side frameworks - React/Next.js or Angular.
• Very strong grasp of core object-oriented programming concepts
• Extensive full stack web development experience
• Strong ORM experience
• Hands-on agentic development experience with Claude Code or Codex: driving real production work through an agent, reviewing and correcting what it produces, and knowing when to take the keyboard back
• Experience with established software design practices and patterns
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests as a normal part of shipping
• Need to be able to manage one's work and timelines, as well as work with a team
• The ability to work directly with SMEs to gather business requirements and distill them into functional requirements
• Ability to provide accurate time estimates based on requirements
• Experience working with cloud platforms
• Experience working within a project management platform, preferably JIRA
• Strong experience in at least one flavor of SQL

Nice to Haves

• Experience writing and maintaining your own agent context: skills, subagents, MCP servers, custom tooling, etc.
• Team lead, PM, and/or BA experience
• Experience working in an agency or similar environment
• Vercel, Supabase, or comparable managed hosting/BaaS
• PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL experience
• NoSQL experience
• Shopify experience, whether traditional themes or headless builds with Hydrogen
• Headless CMS experience, especially Storyblok
• The ability to slice comps to HTML in a pinch
• CSS and its ecosystem (Tailwind, SCSS, CSS Modules)
• Experience developing native mobile applications
• DevOps and CI/CD experience, especially with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
• Strong grasp of SEO and CRO techniques
