Senior Full-Stack Developer / Technical Lead

Are you an experienced full-stack developer who enjoys combining hands-on software engineering with technical leadership? Join our Global Digitalization team at Care Chemicals Digital as a Senior Full-Stack Developer / Technical Lead. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of digital solutions, guiding technical design, architecture, development, deployment, and ongoing operations. Working closely with Product Owners, developers, and global platform teams, you will help transform business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions while mentoring .colleagues and driving engineering excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take a leading role in the technical design and delivery of full-stack web applications and digital solutions, including hands-on development and implementation.
• Design end-to-end solution architectures that are reliable, maintainable, scalable, and aligned with BASF standard platforms and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners on planning, scoping, implementation strategies, and effort estimation.
• Support backlog preparation, ticket refinement, and technical decomposition of features and work packages.
• Work closely with global digital units and platform teams such as Authentication, Cookie Consent, Web Analytics, Product Information Management, and other enterprise services.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to developers within the team.
• Lead technical quality initiatives through code reviews, engineering standards, governance, and best practices
• Support integration, deployment processes, and stable operation of delivered solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience
• Experience in technical leadership, solution design, and delivery ownership.
• Strong Angular, TypeScript, HTML and SCSS skills.
• Strong experience with PrimeNG and responsive web design.
• Unit testing with Jest; Playwright is a plus.
• Strong Node.js experience; NestJS preferred.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, and Azure SQL.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of software architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience with Docker, GitHub, Azure Pipelines, and CI/CD.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience working in agile teams and Scrum processes.
• Mentoring mindset and ability to guide developers.
• Plus: experience with Azure Cloud, Databricks or Azure Data Factory, GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools, building AI agents or chatbots.
