Senior Full Stack Engineer

Join Customer Capabilities, a tribe of around 130 colleagues organised into 13 cross-functional teams across Denmark, Lithuania, and India. Together, we deliver effective end-to-end solutions for Danske Bank’s customers and employees across four business-critical domains: Fees, Interest, Tax Reporting, and Customer Communication.

Our platform supports essential banking products and digital banking experiences at scale, processing high transaction volumes every day. You will build sustainable, resilient software guided by clean design, measurable performance, operational excellence, and a clear focus on customer needs.

As part of our engineering community, you will collaborate across the tribe, influence technical direction, establish consistent engineering standards, and help evolve our solutions to deliver reliable customer experiences and measurable business outcomes.

The role is based in Vilnius and follows Danske Bank’s hybrid working model, with the flexibility to work from home one to two days per week.

Please note that relocation support is not available for this role.

You will:

• Develop reliable systems that support everyday banking products and customer-facing services.
• Shape the design and architecture of resilient, high-quality software solutions.
• Apply robust engineering and security practices to cloud-native applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers, and engineers to turn business needs into seamless end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and deliver complex projects with tangible impact.
• Strengthen an agile and supportive culture built on collaboration, continuous learning, and respect for different perspectives.
• Apply agentic AI capabilities where they can improve outcomes, efficiency, or service quality.

About you:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; AWS or similar certifications beneficial.
• A proactive and curious mindset, with a strong sense of ownership, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a structured approach to exploring and solving problems.
• Relevant software engineering experience, with deep hands-on expertise in React Native- or a strong React.js background and the ability to transition effectively to React Native. You bring sound architectural judgement and mastery of modern React patterns, including Hooks, Context API, and Redux, together with component-driven UI architecture and navigation or routing.
• Expertise in .NET or Java, together with hands-on knowledge of microservices and container-based development using OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Amazon EKS.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Git and GitHub, logging and monitoring, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• An understanding of customer-first principles and exposure to customer-facing products would be an advantage.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with advanced proficiency in English.

We offer: Monthly salary range from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
