Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Frontend-Focused

The Impact You'll Make Do you want to build software that does something good for the planet by saving energy and fighting food loss? We make it happen with our software for industrial refrigeration systems.

Our twin product, Alsense, provides similar functionality for supermarkets. You will work on its counterpart for industrial users.

You'll join a small, focused product team, where you'll work primarily on frontend development and go beyond it by contributing to APIs. Work from our office in Mestre (Venice), Italy.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build React microfrontends for our IoT product (~75% of your time)
• Co-develop the APIs used by the UI together with the backend engineer on your team (~25% of your time)
• Use and contribute to our internal React-based design system
• Work with test automation, CI pipelines, and frequent deployments
• Build and iterate on the interface together with our UX designer
• Propose and implement improvements to our large frontend codebase, made up of multiple microfrontends
• Use AI-assisted practices to move faster without giving up engineering rigor

What We're Looking For You're a strong UI engineer who's happy to build the endpoint your feature needs instead of waiting for someone else to do it. You own features end to end and help shape frontend architecture decisions.

• Solid frontend experience with React

• You've worked in a real, non-trivial TypeScript codebase

• You know React and Redux

• You have experience with microfrontends

• You have experience with integration and end-to-end tests

• You use feature flags to ship your work frequently

• Nice to have:

• Experience working with design systems

• Experience with tools like styled-components and SWC

• API development experience

• Preferably in Go, TypeScript, or Java (this is what we use)

• Willingness to learn about IoT, event-driven architecture, PostgreSQL, and message queues

• When we need to build something with a technology you don't know yet, your answer is "I want to learn it" (for example, data pipelines, Sparkplug B, or observability)

• Experience with structured AI-assisted engineering: automation beyond prompting

• Working proficiency in English (our team language)

Compensation & Benefits (ITA)

• Contract Type: Permanent contract
• Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL): CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria (CNEL Code C011)
• Annual Gross Salary Range: €52,000–€57,000
• Bonus Scheme: Variable component expressed as a percentage of annual gross salary, linked to company and/or individual performance
• Salary Review: Conducted annually, based on individual performance and overall company results
