Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Integrations & Automation

Vox AI builds voice AI that takes orders at the drive-thru and on the phone, and turns every conversation into operational insight for restaurant brands. Hundreds of locations across Europe, the US and Australia run on our products, and the models work in production every day.

We are venture-funded and scaling fast, and integrations are the backbone of that growth: every POS speaks its own dialect, every brand changes its menu every week, and every feature has to run reliably in hundreds of restaurants at once.

This role owns the layer that makes that work: the connections between our AI platform and the restaurant systems the largest brands run on, the menu platform behind every order, and the account and billing layer shared by all our products. You will work directly with the CTO. That is the job.

• Architect, build and operate our integration layer: POS systems, online-ordering platforms, drive-thru audio systems and payment providers. API bridges, webhook handlers and real-time sync that keep AI and POS in step. Build the ones we need next, harden the ones we have, and put monitoring on all of them.

• Build the platform pieces behind every order and every account: our menu platform as the single source of truth per location, and the account, subscription and billing layer shared by all our products.

• Build the automation behind fast go-lives: onboarding tooling, change detection, remote configuration of live locations.

• Take validated prototypes to production on a date, with auth, tenancy, tests and monitoring, so that a feature that works for one brand works for every brand.

• Ship fault-tolerant, observable services in Python and TypeScript on AWS, with monitoring and alerting on everything you own.

• Six or more years shipping production software end to end, backend-leaning, in Python and TypeScript.

• A proven record building and operating integrations that orders or money depend on: webhooks, idempotency, retries, partner sandboxes, versioned APIs, third-party systems with their own dialects. POS, ordering-platform or payment API experience is a strong plus.

• Expertise in debugging distributed systems, from API timing issues to race conditions in data pipelines, and secure-by-design habits: least privilege, data security, no secrets in code.

• Hands-on with cloud deployments on AWS and observability tooling; infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar) welcome. Comfortable with PostgreSQL and queueing or streaming.

• You have taken a prototype to production and can say what that cost and why. You write the deployment notes, the runbook and the alert before anyone asks. You measure yourself by what went live, not by what you started.

• English required; Dutch welcome. Having worked in a company of fewer than 30 people is a plus.

• Ownership of the layer that decides whether a restaurant goes live, and a deployment lead who turns customer needs into one prioritized list.

• Work directly with a very hands-on CTO: fast feedback, quick decisions, no bureaucracy.

• Ship weekly. Real production traffic from day one, a small senior team.
