Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Integrations)

• We’re looking for a proactive and technically strong Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join Aberdeen’s Digital Engineering team. In this role, you’ll help shape the platforms, applications and integrations that power our digital products and services
• This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges across enterprise-scale platforms. You’ll lead the design, development and support of applications, APIs and backend integrations, translating business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable solutions
• Working closely with architects, product teams and engineers, you’ll take ownership of key technical workstreams and drive engineering excellence across the software lifecycle. Your expertise will include C# .NET, Microsoft Azure, GitHub and modern DevOps practices, with a strong focus on automation, resilience, observability and operational excellence
• Lead the delivery of applications, APIs and integration solutions from design through to production support
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and guide delivery decisions aligned with architecture, security and resilience standards
• Manage technical dependencies, risks and priorities while collaborating with stakeholders across engineering and delivery teams
• Design, build and support secure, observable APIs and integrations across Aberdeen and third-party platforms
• Develop reliable data processing and reconciliation capabilities with strong controls, traceability and data quality standards
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation using GitHub and modern tooling
• Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence, incident management and root cause analysis

• You combine strong technical expertise with a practical, collaborative approach, working confidently across application development, cloud platforms and integration technologies. You’re motivated by modernising platforms, improving automation and helping teams deliver high-quality outcomes
• Solid understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems and secure application architecture
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including maintainable design, testing, code review and continuous improvement
• Advanced C# and .NET development skills, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection and automated testing
• You’re an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical and data challenges, building secure and reliable services that deliver measurable business and client value
• Extensive experience designing and securing APIs, including REST, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and service-to-service communication
• Strong SQL skills, including data modelling, performance optimisation and data-quality analysis
• Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development through coaching and code reviews
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery within Agile teams
• Experience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering tools
• Cloud resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform
• Experience building orchestration and batches using Azure Data Factory
• Test automation with Playwright and TypeScript
