Senior Full-Stack Engineer on SAP BTP

We are looking for either:

• an experienced SAP BTP Developer , or
• an experienced Full-Stack Engineer who is interested in becoming an SAP BTP/RAP Developer through dedicated training.

As an SAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions within SAP environments using SAP BTP, ABAP, RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model), and Fiori technologies. You will work closely with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality, scalable applications that improve and digitalize business processes.

For Senior and Lead-level positions , the role also includes additional responsibilities such as solution architecture, code reviews, technical guidance, and mentoring less experienced developers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design and develop custom applications using ABAP and RAP frameworks.
• Build and enhance Fiori apps for intuitive user experiences.
• Implement OData services and integrate with SAP UI5 applications.

System Integration

• Ensure seamless integration of custom developments with SAP S/4HANA and other modules.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Performance Optimization

• Optimize code for performance and maintainability.
• Conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.
• Maintain proper documentation for developments and technical specifications.

Leadership (Senior/Lead Level)

• Review code and enforce development standards.
• Mentor junior developers and guide technical design decisions.
• Contribute to solution architecture and strategic development planning.

Qualifications

Either:

With SAP BTP experience:

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP application development
• Experience with ABAP Cloud and RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model) and/or SAP CAP
• Experience developing SAP Fiori / Fiori Elements / UI5 applications
• Experience working with OData and REST APIs
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development and integration
• Experience with SAP HANA / HANA Cloud is an advantage
• Knowledge of modern SAP development principles, debugging, performance optimization, and clean code practices
• Experience with Node.js or Java in SAP CAP is an advantage

Or:

Experienced (5+yrs) Full-Stack Engineer transitioning to SAP BTP

No previous SAP experience is required. We're interested in experienced software engineers with a strong engineering foundation who would like to learn SAP BTP, RAP, and the SAP development ecosystem.

Ideally, you have experience with several of the following:

• Backend: Java, Node.js and/or TypeScript
• Frontend: React, Angular and/or Vue.js
• Cloud: Azure, AWS or another major cloud platform
• Containerization: Docker or similar container technologies
• Databases: Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Integrations: Experience designing, consuming, or integrating REST APIs and other API-based services
• Understanding of modern software development practices, including Git, testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Interest in learning the SAP BTP ecosystem, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, Fiori, and SAP integration technologies
