Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on, self-driven Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our team in building and scaling a modern healthcare technology platform. This platform supports critical functions across patient engagement, care management, clinical workflows, and complex healthcare integrations.

In this role, you will own functionality end-to-end—from front-end UI/UX down to database schemas, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and production support.

What You'll Do

  • 50% Full-Stack Product Engineering: Design and build user-facing patient and care-management applications, clinical workflows, UI/UX components, REST APIs, and core platform features.
  • 50% Backend, Cloud & Integration Engineering: Architect resilient backend services on AWS, build healthcare interoperability pipelines, ensure data security/HIPAA compliance, and maintain DevOps pipelines and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Build, optimize, and maintain responsive patient-facing and care-management web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Backend & API Systems: Develop scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, asynchronous background workflows, and robust PostgreSQL database schemas.
  • Core Feature Delivery: Implement end-to-end functionality across patient enrollment, care plans, clinical assessments, care workflows, multi-channel communications, analytics dashboards, and admin toolkits.
  • Healthcare Interoperability: Build and manage data integrations with payers, HIEs, QHINs, and health systems using FHIR R4, HL7/ADT, C-CDA, REST APIs, SFTP, and secure file transfer protocols.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Provision, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (ECS/EC2, RDS, ALB, Secrets Manager) using automated CI/CD tools, robust monitoring, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Collaboration & Support: Provide full-lifecycle production support and troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack while collaborating directly with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Clinical teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
  • Core Stack Mastery:
  • Frontend: React, TypeScript
  • Backend: Node.js, Express, REST APIs
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS (ECS/EC2, RDS, ALB, Secrets Manager), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), automated testing (Playwright)
  • Services: Twilio, SendGrid, SFTP / file-based integrations
  • Engineering Mindset: Ability to quickly navigate existing codebases, work independently in a lean environment, and take end-to-end ownership from system design to production deployment.
  • Modern Tooling: Familiarity with modern, AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM workflows) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications (Healthcare Domain — Big Plus)

  • Hands-on experience developing healthcare software, digital health apps, or HIPAA-compliant solutions.
  • Direct experience with healthcare interoperability standards and protocols: FHIR R4, HL7/ADT, C-CDA.
  • Prior background working with payer integrations, HIEs, QHINs, patient engagement tools, or clinical workflow platforms.

Benefits:

  • Health insurance
