Senior Full Stack Web Developer (Laravel/PHP)

Remote Lands is a luxury tour operator specializing exclusively in extraordinary private journeys across Asia. For more than 20 years, we have created highly personalized travel experiences for discerning travelers, combining deep destination expertise with exceptional access, service and storytelling.

We are looking for a senior full stack Laravel/PHP developer to join our team on-site at our Bangkok office (near BTS Ploenchit), reporting to the Head of Tech. You'll look after several of our internal applications, handle support requests from staff, and build features across both the back end and front end.

This is a hands-on role in a small team that's investing in its systems, so you’ll have a real say in how things are built. You'll work closely with staff across departments and our offices in Bangkok, New York and Tokyo, as well as external developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain our internal Laravel/PHP applications, including our bespoke CRM
• Handle bug reports and change requests from staff across our offices, and work with them to understand what they need
• Upgrade older applications to current PHP and Laravel versions
• Write automated tests as part of your normal workflow
• Build front-end features and pages
• Monitor errors in Sentry and fix any issues
• Review code and work with external developers
• Support work on the company website and other projects
• Build integrations with third-party APIs, AI tools, and internal platforms

What We're Looking For

• Good written and spoken English, as most requests come from English-speaking staff
• Thai nationality
• 5+ years of PHP experience, including at least 4 years with Laravel
• Good HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, and experience building front-end features
• Good Eloquent ORM and MySQL skills, including writing migrations and optimizing queries
• Experience writing automated tests, ideally with Pest or PHPUnit
• Experience with Git and GitHub for team workflow, including pull requests
• Experience upgrading or refactoring older code safely
• Experience using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code or Codex) in your daily work, and reviewing and testing the code they produce
• Able to work proactively and independently, asking questions when a request is unclear

Nice to Have

• Experience managing Linux servers
• Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools
• Filament, Livewire, Alpine.js, React
• Experience building AI features into web applications, for example using LLM APIs
• Experience in the travel or hospitality industry
