Senior Fullstack Developer

Senior Full Stack Developer | Johannesburg | Hybrid

We’re partnering with a leading automotive technology business that is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join their growing technology team.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys working across the stack, solving complex problems, taking ownership of projects, and helping develop the engineers around them.

The Opportunity

You’ll work across high-impact web and mobile products , contributing to both greenfield development and the continuous improvement of existing platforms.

The role is backend-leaning, but you’ll need to be comfortable working across both frontend and backend technologies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing scalable web and mobile applications
• Building backend APIs and services using PHP/Laravel
• Developing modern frontend applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript
• Working with Docker and Kubernetes across deployment and infrastructure
• Contributing to cloud and AWS-related initiatives
• Conducting code reviews and maintaining strong testing standards
• Mentoring intermediate and junior developers through collaboration and pair programming
• Taking ownership of projects from development through to delivery

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ software development experience
• Strong experience with Laravel/PHP
• Strong experience with Next.js
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience
• Experience with AWS
• Exposure to mobile development, React Native, Flutter or PWAs would be beneficial
• Someone who is comfortable working with autonomy and taking ownership
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
• A collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in mentoring others
