Senior Fullstack Engineer

This position focuses on the development and enhancement of our loyalty platform and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend and frontend development, system architecture, and scalable application design. This role involves building and maintaining reliable applications, optimising system performance, and collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer or in an equivalent role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and NestJS , with proven experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Deep expertise in React and Next.js , including state management (Redux or Zustand), SSR/SSG, and frontend architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Extensive experience with microservice architecture, message queues (Kafka or RabbitMQ), and distributed systems.
• Proven experience with Redis caching strategies, including distributed caching and cache invalidation.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and API security best practices (OAuth, JWT).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and lead technical initiatives.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or loyalty/rewards systems is highly preferred.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend applications using Node.js and NestJS, following architectural best practices and design patterns.
• Architect and manage microservice integrations using message queue systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, focusing on reliability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
• Design and optimise data models across SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Implement advanced caching strategies using Redis to optimise application performance, including distributed caching and cache invalidation patterns.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural decisions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation and establish API design standards for frontend and third-party integrations.
• Establish testing strategies, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior and middle-level engineers to maintain code quality.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting for production issues, and implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies.
• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React and Next.js.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and reusable component patterns across the engineering team.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, accessibility, and frontend performance optimisation.
