For this position, you will join the FinApp Team within Back Office Engineering and work across the product quality lifecycle rather than focusing exclusively on either manual or automated testing.

Testing begins with requirements analysis and continues throughout development, deployment, release, and application monitoring.

Our QA Engineers combine manual and automated testing , with a particularly strong focus on backend and API quality.

The core automation stack for this position is:

Python + Playwright + PyTest

You will also work with REST APIs, message queues, SQL, monitoring tools, CI/CD systems, and testing infrastructure.

QA engineers are active members of Scrum teams and contribute not only by executing tests, but also by influencing quality processes, automation architecture, test strategy, tooling, and delivery practices.

We are looking for a Senior FullStack QA Engineer who is equally comfortable investigating a system manually and building automation around it.

You should understand quality beyond individual test cases and be able to evaluate how requirements, architecture, integrations, automation, monitoring, and delivery processes affect the reliability of the overall product.

This role is particularly suitable for someone who enjoys backend and API testing , understands complex integrations, and wants to remain hands-on with Python-based automation.

What professional skills are important to us?

Must-have

• 5+ years of QA experience , including both manual and automation testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation .
• Experience with PyTest, Behave, or similar Python testing frameworks .
• Experience with functional and non-functional testing.
• Strong backend and REST API testing experience.
• Experience testing message queues .
• Experience with integration, UI, acceptance, exploratory, and grey-box testing.
• Strong understanding of QA approaches, testing principles, test types, test coverage distribution, the test pyramid, and quality practices.
• Excellent test documentation skills.
• Good understanding of the complete SDLC , from requirements analysis through development and deployment to application monitoring.
• Experience with CI/CD systems .
• Good SQL skills.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as ELK and Sentry .
• Strong understanding of Scrum and/or other Agile frameworks.
• Independence and proactivity.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Good spoken and written English and Russian .

Nice to have

• Load, stress, or performance testing experience.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Previous experience in Fintech, Blockchain, or another complex domain with heavy business logic and integrations .

What will you do in the project?

As a Senior FullStack QA Engineer, you will be involved throughout the complete product quality lifecycle.

You will:

• Participate actively in the Scrum team.
• Analyze requirements before testing begins.
• Perform both manual and automated testing .
• Participate in product releases.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including checklists, test cases, and quality reports.
• Automate test cases using the existing framework.
• Perform functional and exploratory testing.
• Test frontend functionality as well as backend services and APIs , with a particularly strong focus on backend/API testing.
• Test message queues and system integrations.
• Execute different types and levels of testing depending on product needs.
• Maintain and extend the automation testing framework.
• Contribute to the development of testing tools, including Mocks .
• Participate in quality-process architecture.
• Contribute to estimations and test-case design.
• Help improve CI/CD processes .
• Coordinate testing activities with developers and other QA Engineers.
• Evaluate overall product quality.
• Proactively influence and improve QA processes.
