Senior Fund Accountant

JLF, a Texas Investment Management focused recruiting firm, has been retained by a Houston-based private equity firm to search for a Senior Fund Accountant. The firm has raised multi-billion dollar funds across multiple strategies in the past 3 years and are close to closing their largest fund to date. The role is in office four days per week in Houston with a standard 40 hour work week.

ABOUT THE FIRM:

• Houston-headquartered private equity firm
• Raised multi-billion dollar funds across private equity, infrastructure, and energy strategies in the last three years, with each fund larger than the last

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fund and co-investment vehicle accounting
• Coordinate with the third-party fund administrator on fund accounting
• Manage treasury and cash movements through the banking system
• Process investor capital call and distribution requests
• Respond to investor requests
• Special Projects - Value add projects led by the CFO. Enhancement and AI initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 to 5 years of experience
• Accounting degree or related degree
• Experience in one of the following: buyside, fund administration, or public accounting with investment client experience

PREFERRED:

• CPA (preferred, not required)
• Technology or artificial intelligence fluency is a plus; the team values this skill set
• Hungry, motivated, and looking to take on more responsibility
