Senior Fund Accountant

This position will be responsible for fund-level accounting, month-end and quarter-end close, investor reporting, capital activity, and coordination with auditors and other third-party partners.

The ideal candidate has strong fund accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage accounting responsibilities across multiple investment entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes for assigned funds and related investment entities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain fund-level general ledgers and ensure accurate recording of investment activity.
• Calculate and record capital calls, distributions, management fees, and other fund activity.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP .
• Support investor reporting, including capital account statements and related schedules.
• Assist with partnership accounting, including allocations of income, expenses, gains, and losses.
• Prepare and review cash and investment reconciliations.
• Support NAV calculations and review underlying fund activity for accuracy.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, investment teams, auditors, tax providers, and other external partners.
• Provide schedules and supporting documentation for annual audits and tax filings.
• Monitor cash activity and assist with treasury-related functions as needed.
• Maintain accurate accounting records across multiple funds, entities, and investment structures.
• Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and development of accounting controls.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 3–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably within private equity, real estate, private credit, asset management, or another investment environment.
• Direct fund accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, partnership accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and fund-level accounting.
• Experience supporting annual audits and working with external auditors.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with complex schedules and reconciliations.
• Experience with fund accounting or investment management systems is preferred.
• CPA or CPA progress is a plus, but not required.

Preferred Background

• Private equity, real estate investment, private credit, or alternative asset management experience.
• Experience working with multiple funds, legal entities, or complex investment structures.
• Familiarity with systems such as Juniper Square, Investran, eFront, Allvue, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
