🚀 Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bucharest , working on large scale cloud infrastructure for a world renowned client.

📍 Bucharest | Hybrid: 1 day per week onsite at our Pipera office

Your responsibilities

You will architect, implement and maintain secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure on GCP, while driving Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation and DevOps best practices.

You will work closely with development teams to improve application performance and reliability, automate operational processes, strengthen cloud security and support production environments.

You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

• Strong hands on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud infrastructure

Expert level experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Terraform is mandatory

• Strong experience designing and optimising CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions / GitHub Workflows

• Strong hands on experience with Docker and Kubernetes , including deployments, scaling and cluster administration

• Experience creating and managing Kubernetes clusters using Terraform

• Strong experience with Helm Charts, including templates, hooks, packaging and release management

• Hands on experience with GCP security services, particularly GCP Secret Manager and Cloud IAM

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools such as GCP Operations, New Relic, Prometheus or Grafana

• Experience with Istio or similar service mesh technologies

• Strong scripting or software development skills in at least one language such as Python, Go, Java, Bash or JavaScript

• Experience working in enterprise scale environments with code reviews and engineering best practices

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

• B2 level of English or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible or Chef

• AWS or Azure experience

• GCP certifications
