Senior GCP Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Senior GCP Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud platform capabilities in a complex enterprise environment.

You will work hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, GKE, and Terraform, helping engineering teams build, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and reliable cloud-based workloads.

The role combines platform engineering, infrastructure automation, cloud security, CI/CD, and developer enablement. You will collaborate with architects, platform engineers, data engineers, and security teams to improve platform capabilities and enable engineering teams to work more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve cloud platform capabilities on GCP.
• Develop and operate GKE/Kubernetes environments and container-based workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build and improve CI/CD and GitOps-based delivery workflows.
• Manage cloud networking, IAM, workload identity, and security configurations.
• Develop reusable platform components and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
• Improve monitoring, logging, observability, and operational reliability.
• Support engineering teams in onboarding and operating workloads on the platform.
• Contribute to platform architecture, technical standards, and long-term improvements.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong, hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience with GKE and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building cloud platform foundations or landing zones.
• Practical knowledge of IAM, workload identity, networking, and cloud security.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and cloud infrastructure delivery.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Ability to support multiple engineering teams in an enterprise environment.
• Strong technical ownership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

Preferred

• GCP data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Apache Beam, data ingestion, or streaming platforms.
• GitOps, Helm, Backstage, or Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
• Python and Bash scripting.
• GCP networking and security services.
• Multi-cloud environments involving GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Platform engineering in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
• Developer self-service and platform enablement.
