Senior General Manager, Project Development

We are seeking an accomplished Senior General Manager, Project Development to spearhead our luxury, high-end property development projects in Kuala Lumpur.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall business and project development operations, ensuring the effective execution of business strategies and the achievement of key business plan objectives. This role carries significant responsibility for driving profitability, revenue growth, sales performance, and overall business success.

Job Description

• Lead and manage a cross-functional team comprising representatives from various operational and functional departments to successfully deliver assigned projects and achieve established objectives and targets.
• Provide inspirational leadership establishing challenging yet achievable goals and motivating team members to achieve the project vision and desired outcomes.
• Develop a comprehensive Project Business Plan, including a clear analysis of the business environment and a robust Strategic Action Plan.
• Achieve targeted sales in accordance with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Business Plan objectives.
• Ensure timely award of contracts while maintaining compliance with approved budgets and cost targets.
• Monitor project financial performance and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure profitability and cost effectiveness.
• Spearhead product development initiatives to create strong product differentiation and enhance the project's competitive positioning.
• Ensure product offerings are aligned with customer needs, market expectations, and the overall business strategy.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government authorities and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely approvals and project execution.
• Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to achieve targeted market penetration.
• Ensure the quality and timely execution of works at project sites, while minimizing defects and maintaining the required standards.
• Ensure timely project launches in accordance with the approved business plan and sales strategy.
• Continuously review and improve project processes to enhance operational efficiency and overall project performance.
• Build and maintain a strong, cohesive, and high-performing team comprising engaged and motivated team members.
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture that encourages accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Develop team members through effective coaching, guidance, and performance management.

The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 15 years of relevant experience in property development , particularly in luxury, high-end developments. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, sound commercial acumen, and a high level of integrity, with proven experience in a publicly listed company and/or the property development industry.
