Senior GL Accountant

About the role

This is an accounting position responsible for verifying and recording General Ledger entries accurately and completely in accordance with accounting standards, closing monthly/quarterly/annual accounts, and preparing financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and record General Ledger entries correctly, completely, and in accordance with accounting standards
• Close accounts for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods and prepare preliminary financial statements
• Analyze significant accounting items such as accrued expenses, internal transfers, depreciation, and prepare related accounting records
• Perform account reconciliation including bank accounts, receivables, payables, withholding tax, and internal accounts
• Collect data for accounting entries
• Oversee preparation of financial reconciliation statements according to company policy and prepare internal reports as requested by management
• Verify accounting documents and control accuracy of accounting entries
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Take responsibility for affiliated company accounting work

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field
• Accounting experience of at least 3–5 years, particularly in General Ledger accounting and account closing
• Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance with tax laws
• Proficiency in accounting software SAP (preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas
• Attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and time management skills
• Communication, analytical, and teamwork skills
