Senior Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Google Workspace & M365

Duration: 18-Month Contract (1 Position to Start)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Google Digital Workspace Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Architect to lead and execute a complex, enterprise-scale migration between Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace platforms. You will serve as the principal technical authority, designing high-availability architecture, establishing security/IAM governance, and directly executing tenant-to-tenant migrations across messaging, calendars, conferencing, and identity systems.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Migration Execution: Architect and execute hands-on migrations across Email, Outlook/Gmail, Calendars, Conference Room resources, and mail security protocols.
• Design governance models, coexist frameworks, technical roadmaps, and technical migration strategies using tools like Google Workspace Migrate, CloudM, or MoveBot.
• Identity & Access Management (IAM): Integrate identity federations, SSO, role-based access controls (RBAC), and user provisioning across Entra ID (Azure AD), Google Cloud Identity, and Okta/Ping systems.
• Mail Flow & Security Posture: Configure DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, conditional access, and secure mail gateway architecture to guarantee zero data loss, high deliverability, and compliance.
• Conference & Collaboration Integration: Migrate and configure room resources, shared mailboxes, Google Meet / Teams room systems, and calendar interoperability during coexistence.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• 10+ years leading enterprise d igital workspace transformations and tenant-to-tenant platform migrations.
• Deep hands-on expertise in both Google Workspace (Admin Console, Apps Script, GCP integrations) and Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Purview, Entra ID, Teams).
• Proficient in Google Workspace Migrate, MoveBot, CloudM, or equivalent enterprise tools.
• Deep technical proficiency in SMTP mail flow, IAM/SSO, room resource mapping, and secure endpoint/cloud architecture.
• Ability to both design high-level architecture and directly perform technical implementation and escalation handling.

Preferred Certifications:

• Professional Google Workspace Administrator or Professional Cloud Security Engineer
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
