Senior Growth PM, Monetization

Senior Growth PM, Monetization — own the subscription P&L from first paywall to renewal. San Francisco. Our client is a YC-backed consumer company building a premium AI hardware + software product. They've already reached hundreds of thousands of customers across the US and Europe and are scaling toward millions. Every customer buys a device and uses the mobile and desktop apps, and the subscription is one of the company's biggest growth levers.

You'll own the subscription business end to end: setting strategy and revenue targets with the founders, running a relentless experimentation program and shipping with engineering and design. Hands-on at first, then building and leading the subscriptions and monetization team.

What You'll Own → The subscription P&L and revenue targets

→ Conversion: onboarding, paywalls, trials, checkout and Free → Paid across mobile, desktop and e-commerce

→ Monetization: pricing, packaging, monthly vs annual, plan structure, credits and new paid features

→ Retention and involuntary churn: cancellation and save flows, win-backs, dunning and billing recovery

→ Lifecycle messaging across push, email and in-app

→ Analytics: cohort retention, LTV, attach rate and where revenue is leaking

What We're Looking For → 7+ years in consumer subscription, growth or monetization, incl. 3+ years owning subscription revenue or a P&L

→ Quantified wins on conversion, ARPU, retention and churn at scale

→ Background in hardware + subscription (think Oura, Whoop, Peloton, Eight Sleep) or top subscription apps (Calm, Headspace, Duolingo, Strava, Noom)

→ Deep pricing and packaging expertise, plus rigorous experiment design

→ Hands-on with RevenueCat / Superwall, Amplitude / Mixpanel and Braze / Customer.io

→ Bonus: Shopify / e-commerce CRO, or building a monetization function from early stage

Compensation: $170K–$210K base + meaningful equity. Reports directly to the founders.
