Senior Hardware Electronic Engineer (H/F)

As part of the development of our activities in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Senior Electronic Hardware Validation & Design Engineer (M/F).

Reporting to a technical manager, you will join a multidisciplinary engineering team involved in the development of advanced electronic products operating in highly demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and contribute to the development lifecycle of electronic boards, from requirements definition through validation and production release.
• Design, develop and validate reliable analog, digital and mixed-signal electronic systems.
• Define hardware architectures and translate system requirements into robust electronic solutions.
• Perform schematic design, component selection and support PCB layout activities.
• Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts and validation platforms.
• Conduct hardware validation, verification and qualification activities at both PCBA and product level.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
• Define and execute validation and qualification test plans and document test results.
• Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and related instrumentation.
• Support EMC, ESD, thermal, environmental and vibration testing when required.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical trade-off analyses and DFM/DFA/DFT activities.
• Produce and maintain design, validation and manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate closely with system, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams.
• Support industrialization activities, production readiness and supplier interactions.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold a degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field.

You have 5 to 15 years of experience in electronic hardware development, validation, qualification and board bring-up , with a strong balance between electronic design and hardware testing activities.

Experience in aerospace, space, automotive, industrial equipment, medical devices or other regulated environments is highly appreciated.

Requirements

• Strong experience in electronic hardware development and hardware validation activities.
• Experience designing analog, digital and mixed-signal electronic boards.
• Proven experience performing board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting and qualification activities.
• Ability to define and execute validation and verification strategies for electronic products.
• Solid experience in schematic design and component selection.
• Ability to read, analyze and troubleshoot electronic schematics.
• Hands-on laboratory experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and other electronic test equipment.
• Experience with PCB development tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent.
• Knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C and UART.
• Experience with PCBA testing and product-level validation.
• Ability to write clear technical documentation, validation reports and test procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, space, airborne or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to EMC, ESD, thermal, environmental or vibration testing.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Test (DFT).
• PCB layout experience.
• Experience with signal integrity, power integrity or electronic simulations.
• Exposure to industrialization, production support and supplier management activities.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary environments involving hardware, software, mechanical and system engineering teams.
