(Senior) Hardware Engineer

• Participate in the design and development of the company’s signal acquisition and generation platform and its accompanying accessories from prototype and concept through commercial release and beyond.
• Collecting and analyzing detailed product characterization data in support of design verification and test validation.
• Responsible for the compilation of design verification/validation protocols, reports and design/quality documentation supporting product development/sustaining engineering projects.
• Working closely with industrial designers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, test engineers, component engineers, and program managers.
• Ensure product conform to standards and specifications.
• Work with quality, manufacturing and regulatory, to ensure successful product qualification and production start-up.
• Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.
• Work in conjunction with design engineers, manufacturing engineers and quality engineers to write test requirements, test specifications & test procedures.
• Generate related documents such as manufacturing test specifications, test software requirements, software intended use Test procedure, validation plan and report.
• Design test equipment, mainly automated test equipment (ATE), including overall system design, digital and analog circuit design and instrumentation specification, test software programming.
• Validate test systems and test fixtures in FDA-regulated medical environment.
• Interface with contract manufacturer to resolve design and manufacturing issue.
• Should have the ability to make decision to resolve design and manufacturing issues.

Requirements

• Basic engineering knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Solid understanding of microcontrollers and embedded systems
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities. Analyses, draws conclusions and makes appropriate decisions from test data.
• Experience with design and manufacture of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Circuit Assemblies.
• Experience with wireless communication, such as Bluetooth.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MS or Ph.D. preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Experience with IEC 60601 and other standards a plus.
• Motivated, self-directed and able to work effectively both independently and in a team
