Senior Helper (IHSS)

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Senior Helper (In-Home Support Services - IHSS) to join our team and provide exceptional care to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and support their independence in a respectful and nurturing manner. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring personalized care, while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and work w/the elderly.

Responsibilities each senior needs are different. Below are some suggested type of care.

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support patients with mobility and transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques.
• Monitor vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs.
• Administer medication following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and sanitation of living spaces.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

No prior experience other than a willingness to help the elderly in regular tasks.

Max hours approved for this position is 60 or less hours a month thst are flexible for students. Use all hours or part.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
