Senior HSE Manager - Leading Main Contractor

Our client:

Our client is a leading main contractor in HK.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee site safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure full compliance with local regulations and OSH standards.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the safety team, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Audit & Hazard Control: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits; identify hazards and ensure the main contractor executes prompt corrective actions.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with internal teams to seamlessly embed safety practices into daily operational processes and foster an organization-wide safety culture.
• Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards: Monitor safety program effectiveness, stay current on evolving regulatory changes and industry best practices, and enforce compliance across main contractors.
• External Liaison & Partnerships: Act as the primary liaison between the organization and government authorities on site safety matters. Build and maintain relationships with industry associations to stay ahead of emerging safety issues.
• HR Collaboration: Work closely with Human Resources to align and enforce safety-related corporate policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Higher Certificate in a Construction, Safety Management, or related discipline.

• Certifications:

  • Registered Safety Officer (RSO) under the F&IU Regulations.
  • Registered Safety Auditor (RSA).
  • Professional membership in one or more recognized safety bodies.

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in safety management, including at least 5 years at a managerial level within building construction safety.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Proficient in standard PC applications (MS Office) and English/Chinese word processing.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of modern site safety technology, including 4S (Smart Site Safety System) and AI-driven safety monitoring tools.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
