Senior Human Resources Generalist

The full salary range for the Senior Human Resources Generalist is $75,900.00 - $137,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $95,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. The Senior Human Resources Generalist is part of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET) and serves as a senior generalist supporting Facilities Services. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Human Resources, the Sr. HR Generalist is responsible for a variety of human resources duties in support of organizational management. This position serves as a point of contact for a diverse workforce composed of custodial, groundskeeping, and skilled trades, responding to inquiries, requests, and concerns. Provides high-level analytical and administrative support in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Human Resources in the implementation and delivery of HR services and programs, including full-cycle recruitment, first- tier employee relations concerns, job description development, salary actions, payroll, training and development, report & data analysis, along with yearly cyclical HR programs such performance management program administration. This position requires a high degree attention to details and strong collaboration in the delivery of HR services partnering with central Human Resources, F&A departments, ASSET PWA - our payroll shared services unit, and other centralized university units, all while maintaining the strictest confidentiality. Ability to extract data from systems and the ability to analyze, validate and prepare consolidated reports using tools such as pivot tables and formulas within Microsoft Excel. Has thorough knowledge of human resources concepts, policies and procedures, employment practices, labor relations, salary administration, training and other areas of human resources. Demonstrated ability to handle very difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Possesses strong analytical, active listening and critical thinking skills. Demonstrates skill in prioritizing competing work assignments, employing political acumen and integrating information to determine appropriate courses of action and their implications. Possesses strong analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills. Is skilled in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to independently gather and analyze data, performing sound judgment and decision making. Ability to organize work, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
