b19 Consulting is partnered with a rapidly growing clean energy company seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead high-voltage substation, switchyard, and medium-voltage engineering across utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of critical technical decisions, lead EPCs and engineering partners, and support the delivery of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure.

Ideal skillset of the Senior HV Electrical Engineer:

• 8+ years of experience leading high-voltage substation engineering and project execution, particularly at 345kV–500kV
• Experience across utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and medium-voltage collection systems
• Proven ability to manage EPCs, engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and utility stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Direct experience with FACTS and series compensation, including fixed series capacitors, SVCs, and STATCOMs
• Strong understanding of utility interconnection requirements, power system studies, and steady-state/dynamic modelling
• Knowledge of NERC PRC/MOD standards and regional compliance requirements, particularly CAISO and ERCOT
• Understanding of high-voltage equipment, protection and control, metering, substation SCADA, and commissioning
• Experience developing technical specifications, reviewing EPC deliverables, and supporting FAT/SAT, energization, and project handover
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
