ROLE – Senior HVAC Engineer

SALARY - $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client is an established engineering business delivering specialist HVAC and mechanical engineering solutions across a range of projects. They are looking for a Senior HVAC Engineer to join their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.

The Senior HVAC Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar HVAC or Mechanical Engineering position
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Strong experience with HVAC mechanical design and engineering
• Previous experience working across commercial, industrial or building services projects
• Experience conducting site investigations and assessing existing HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and mechanical services
• Good understanding of relevant Australian standards, regulations and building codes
• Experience working with contractors and construction teams
• Strong practical understanding of HVAC installation, testing and commissioning
• Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Senior HVAC Engineer role will involve:

• Undertaking mechanical HVAC design and producing detailed engineering documentation
• Conducting site investigations and assessing existing mechanical systems
• Developing HVAC solutions from concept through to detailed design
• Preparing technical specifications, drawings and engineering reports
• Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Providing engineering support throughout the construction phase
• Reviewing drawings, technical documentation and contractor submissions
• Attending project sites to monitor installation and resolve technical issues
• Managing testing, balancing, commissioning and handover of HVAC systems
• Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and specifications
• Working in a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of projects
