We're recruiting an experienced Senior HVAC Project Manager for an established mechanical contractor delivering large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects across the Greater Chicago area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior project management professional with experience delivering HVAC projects valued at $5 million+ , taking responsibility for project delivery, commercial performance and site teams from initial planning through to completion.

The Role

• Manage large-scale HVAC and mechanical construction projects valued at $5 million+
• Take full responsibility for project delivery from inception through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, resources and commercial performance
• Lead and coordinate project managers, engineers, field supervisors and subcontractors
• Manage multiple projects at different stages of construction
• Coordinate mechanical installation activities and field operations
• Liaise with clients, general contractors, consultants and suppliers
• Monitor project costs, contractual obligations and programme milestones
• Identify and resolve technical, operational and commercial challenges
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide regular project updates
• Support the development and performance of project delivery teams

The Candidate

• Extensive experience as a Senior HVAC Project Manager or Mechanical Project Manager
• Proven track record delivering large HVAC projects valued at $5 million+
• Strong background in commercial or industrial mechanical contracting
• Experience managing mechanical installation teams and subcontractors
• Excellent understanding of project budgets, scheduling and construction delivery
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities
• Experience working directly with clients and general contractors
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Greater Chicago area
