About the Opportunity

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Leader to help guide and grow its structural practice throughout the Pacific Northwest. This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership, project management, client engagement, staff mentorship, and strategic growth responsibilities.

This individual will serve as a key resource for complex structural projects while helping develop the next generation of engineers and expanding the firm's presence across municipal and infrastructure markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers
• Provide technical oversight and quality reviews of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Manage projects from planning and design through construction support
• Design and evaluate structures utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other multidisciplinary teams
• Support proposal development, project planning, budgeting, and client presentations
• Strengthen relationships with public-sector and municipal clients
• Participate in business development and strategic growth initiatives
• Assist with hiring, coaching, and long-term team development

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree preferred
• Significant structural engineering consulting experience
• Strong background in structural analysis and design
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering staff
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
• Experience with municipal, utility, or public-sector projects preferred
• Reservoir, water, or infrastructure-related structural experience is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across offices

Licensure

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Structural Engineer (SE) license strongly preferred
• Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
