Senior ICT/ Structured Cabling Design Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior ICT Design Director / Coordinator with strong hands-on experience in ICT infrastructure and network design for large-scale construction projects, to join a growing engineering and infrastructure business currently mobilising for a major airport project in Vietnam. The ideal candidate is a strong self-starter with genuine end-to-end ownership experience, able to translate client requirements into actionable design direction with minimal hand-holding.

Working Location: On-site (Bac Ninh, Vietnam)

Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday (ICT)

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate network endpoint requirements from project designers and the client, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project scope
• Attend and lead meetings where design requirements are determined; communicate decisions clearly to relevant internal and external parties
• Monitor field work progress and provide timely, accurate updates to the design team
• Guide and direct the network design team in line with planned requirements and the overall project schedule
• Assist in the execution of design tasks to ensure adherence to project timelines
• Report on project progress and coordinate closely with the main contractor and other project branches
• Review and check completed designs against previously determined requirements; identify and report deficiencies or errors to the design team
• Keep the design team informed and updated on relevant local regulations and compliance requirements
• Act as the primary point of coordination between client, designers, and on-site execution teams

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's degree in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in ICT/network design, with demonstrated experience in a coordination, team lead, or design management capacity
• Strong hands-on experience with ICT network infrastructure design, particularly passive network systems (cabling, racks, patch panels, data distribution)
• Proven ability to review and audit technical drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders: clients, designers, contractors - on active construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong self-starter with the ability to lead a design team with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of local (Vietnam) ICT/construction regulations, or the ability to quickly learn and apply them
• Clear and confident written and spoken English; comfortable communicating directly with an international (Turkey-based) head office and management team
• Willingness and ability to be based on-site full-time in Bac Ninh, Vietnam.

Nice-to-Have:

• Working proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, sufficient to independently review technical drawings
• Prior experience on airport, transportation, or other large-scale infrastructure projects
• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
• Experience working with or reporting to international/multinational engineering firms
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards (e.g., BICSI)
