The Mission

Join a fast-growing event management software company powering registration, ticketing, and attendee experiences for major international festivals and conferences. Your mission is to take full ownership of designing, building, and scaling custom integration middleware connecting our REST API to enterprise client systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, payment gateways, and mobile apps.

When major events launch, traffic spikes instantaneously. You will build resilient, queue-backed serverless integrations running on Netlify Functions engineered to handle third-party API rate limits, backpressure, and network dropouts without dropping a single registration.

The Role

As a Senior Implementation Engineer / Full-Stack Engineer on the 3-person Professional Services team (spanning UK, US, and Brazil, and expanding), you will serve as the technical backbone for custom client integrations and high-volume data architecture.

• Serverless Middleware Architecture: Build, deploy, and maintain serverless middleware functions (Netlify Functions / AWS Lambda) to synchronize data between the core event platform and third-party enterprise tools.
• High-Volume Traffic Optimization: Design resilient integration architectures incorporating message queues (SQS, RabbitMQ, BullMQ), exponential backoff retries, and rate-limiting safeguards to withstand massive registration traffic spikes.
• CRM & Ecosystem Integrations: Architect robust two-way data syncs with major CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot) and secure payment processors adhering to strict security standards (PCI DSS).
• Client-Facing Delivery & Communication: Serve as the technical owner on client calls: gathering requirements, explaining sync delays or schema mismatches in plain language to non-technical stakeholders, and providing steady live-event support.
• Embedded UI & Documentation: Build light custom UI interfaces for client request forms and author clear integration documentation so future implementations scale faster.

The "Must-Haves"

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js & front-end) for building end-to-end integration workflows.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, OAuth, and Git.
• Experience building serverless middleware (Netlify Functions, AWS Lambda) and high-scale architecture concepts (message queuing, rate limiting, retries, circuit breakers).
• Integration expertise with CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot), Payment Gateways (PCI DSS security compliance), or custom web request forms.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills to run discovery calls, explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, and navigate complex sync edge cases.
• Based in Latam with strict required overlap with US Eastern Time hours.

The "Bonus" Skills

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js, React) or Python.
• Direct domain experience with event tech or ticketing platforms.
• Familiarity with queue management libraries and brokers like AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, or BullMQ.
