Senior Implementation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior IT Implementation Specialist to join our technical team. This role is responsible for delivering IT infrastructure implementations, cloud and Microsoft 365 migrations, technical assessments, managed services onboarding, and advanced technical support for client environments. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Leads, Help Desk teams, and other technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with established technical standards, security requirements, and customer expectations. This position requires strong technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, identity management, backup and disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments of customer Microsoft 365 environments, IT infrastructure, and network configurations
• Perform environment reviews, risk assessments, security audits, and compliance reviews
• Execute Microsoft 365, datacenter, application, data, and infrastructure migration projects
• Configure, deploy, upgrade, and optimize IT systems according to industry best practices
• Perform migration testing, cutover activities, validation, and post-implementation support
• Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 support teams and Help Desk Team Leads
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, servers, networking, virtualization, identity management, cybersecurity, and infrastructure services
• Lead the technical onboarding of new managed services clients by assessing existing environments and executing onboarding plans
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration records, implementation plans, and operational runbooks
• Identify opportunities to improve technical processes, implementation standards, and operational efficiency

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, technical implementation, professional services, or managed services
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, migrations, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls
• Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent documentation, communication, customer service, and time management skills
• Willingness to participate in scheduled after-hours support and on-call rotations
• Amenable to work onsite daily in BGC office, Nightshift (EST)
