Senior Information Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on strengthening data protection controls across modern cloud environments and SaaS applications. The selected candidate will help improve visibility into sensitive data movement, reduce false positives, and drive more effective security operations. You will also partner closely with business stakeholders to better understand where critical data lives and how it should be protected.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $134,000 – $167,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Implement data loss prevention solutions and provide tuning recommendations
• Conduct regular reviews of the data protection program to suggest improvements
• Build strong relationships with business partners to understand sensitive data needs
• Deploy monitoring functionalities and controls across various data stores
• Continuously improve alert fidelity to enhance overall security outcomes

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in information security or a related field
• Deep knowledge of data loss prevention (DLP) solutions and tools
• Proven track record of tuning DLP alerts and reducing false positives
• Familiarity with cloud data storage and SaaS applications
• Curiosity for AI tools and their integration in security practices
