Senior Infra Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy multi-AZ infrastructure to support system high-availability architecture, participate in DR drill and chaos engineering efforts.

• Build observability pipelines and automation tools to facilitate the operation of IT infrastructure services in the bank.

• Define and continuously improve infra service delivery through standardisations and adoptions of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Manage infrastructure service, operating systems and k8s clusters, with continuous security, availability and cost improvement efforts.

• Develop and maintain technical design documents, procedures, and knowledge base.

• Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours incident response and support.

• Backup role for DBA for basic database administration and operation tasks.

• Assist on IT-related audits and assessments where required.

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Native or Professional Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandatory)

• 5+ years in infrastructure management roles, with at least 2 years managing the production AWS environment for Fintech, banking or financial service.

• Deep knowledge and experience in core AWS services: EKS, VPC, IAM, KMS, RDS, Transit Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS WAF.

• Advance proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Github Action, and scripting (python, bash, Go).

• Strong sense of responsibility and passions in system operation and stability work, strong communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Extensive experience in ITIL-aligned practices, such as change, incident and problem management.

• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as banking, fintech, or telecom is preferred.

Preferred qualifications:

• AWS CSAP certification

• Prior knowledge or experience as DBA
