Senior Infrastructure & Operations Engineer

Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's IT environment across corporate offices, sales galleries and project sites. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and Group IT teams, you will ensure reliable operations, strong cybersecurity practices and successful delivery of infrastructure initiatives.

This is an individual contributor role suited for a hands-on infrastructure professional who enjoys balancing technical operations, project delivery and business support.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Manage and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, VLANs and wireless networks.
• Administer servers, virtual machines, storage platforms and backup systems.
• Monitor system performance, availability and capacity to ensure reliable business operations.
• Support data centre and infrastructure operations across multiple locations.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

• Monitor and support cybersecurity platforms including endpoint protection, XDR, SOC and email security solutions.
• Support patch management activities and cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
• Ensure infrastructure environments comply with Group IT policies, standards and security requirements.

IT Service & End User Support

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for infrastructure, system and network-related issues.
• Support business users with hardware, software and application-related requests.
• Deliver remote and on-site support for offices, sales galleries and project locations when required.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

• Manage backup operations and restoration processes.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing activities.
• Ensure critical systems remain recoverable and resilient.

Project & Vendor Management

• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, system enhancements and technology rollout projects.
• Manage IT vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery and timely resolution of issues.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration or systems support.
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, Virtualisation (VMware preferred), Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Network Infrastructure, Firewalls and Security Solutions, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Enterprise End User Computing environments
• Exposure to technologies such as XDR, SOC, Mimecast or endpoint protection solutions would be advantageous.
• Experience coordinating vendors and technology projects.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
