Senior Infrastructure Draftsman

Job Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Draftsman is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed technical drawings for civil and infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, sewerage networks, water supply systems, and underground utilities. The role involves developing accurate shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and relevant UAE authority requirements. The position requires effective coordination with engineers, consultants, surveyors, and site teams to support successful project execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed infrastructure shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant drafting software.
• Develop road layouts, utility layouts, drainage networks, sewerage systems, water supply networks, longitudinal profiles, and cross-sections.
• Review engineering designs, consultant drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, surveyors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and drawing discrepancies.
• Prepare and revise drawings based on consultant comments, site instructions, approved design modifications, and actual site conditions.
• Ensure proper coordination between infrastructure services to identify and minimize clashes during construction.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings based on approved site modifications and survey data.
• Support the engineering team in preparing technical submissions and drawings required for consultant and authority approvals.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable UAE authority regulations, engineering standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate drawing registers, revision records, and organized technical documentation.
• Review drawings prepared by junior draftsmen and provide technical guidance to maintain drafting quality and consistency.
• Coordinate with construction and planning teams to ensure timely drawing submissions and project progress.
• Identify discrepancies between approved drawings and site conditions and report them to the concerned engineers.
• Participate in technical coordination meetings and assist in resolving infrastructure-related design and construction issues.
• Perform other drafting and technical support duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in civil and infrastructure drafting, preferably within UAE contracting or construction companies.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Strong experience preparing infrastructure shop drawings, road layouts, utility networks, profiles, cross-sections, and as-built drawings.
• Good knowledge of UAE infrastructure construction standards, engineering practices, and relevant authority requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, survey data, and construction documents.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, engineers, surveyors, and site execution teams.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure services coordination and clash identification.
• Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet project deadlines.
• Leadership skills to guide and review the work of junior draftsmen.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
