Senior Infrastructure Test Engineer, DevOps

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Test Engineer, DevOps to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building reliable automation that validates cloud infrastructure changes, strengthens release quality, and supports secure delivery practices across engineering teams. You will partner closely with DevOps, security, and engineering stakeholders to improve test coverage for infrastructure-as-code, containerized environments, and CI/CD workflows. The work will help ensure changes are deployed with confidence, operational risks are reduced, and security controls are consistently upheld.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks for AWS environments
• Validate changes in AWS infrastructure elements such as VPCs and security groups
• Develop and implement automated tests for infrastructure-as-code
• Integrate validation into CI/CD pipelines to catch issues early
• Test and validate containerized environments for performance and security
• Ensure compliance with security controls and audits
• Analyze logs to troubleshoot failures and refine reporting processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an SDET or similar automation-focused engineering role
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proficient in programming for test automation, such as Python or Bash
• Experience with CI/CD integrations and platforms such as GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of security compliance requirements such as CIS or FedRAMP
