Luxembourg | Hybrid | Freelance Contract | ASAP Start

Consol Partners is supporting a client in Luxembourg in the search for an experienced Integration Engineer to join on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the client's integration landscape: you will design, build and run enterprise integration solutions on Microsoft Azure, working closely with architects, application, infrastructure and security teams to deliver reliable, secure and scalable services.

The role combines development, architecture and operations. You will shape how systems connect across the organisation, help modernise the integration platform, and take ownership of technical topics from design through to production support.

• Location: Luxembourg, hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote

• Contract type: Freelance / contract, daily rate

D̲e̲s̲i̲g̲n̲ a̲n̲d̲ a̲r̲c̲h̲i̲t̲e̲c̲t̲u̲r̲e̲

• Design end-to-end integration solutions in line with enterprise architecture standards and technical requirements

• Design APIs and integration services using orchestration, transformation, routing and protocol mediation

• Define and apply integration patterns, development standards, best practices and reusable services

• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, scalability, availability and reliability requirements

• Contribute to the modernisation and continuous improvement of the integration architecture and platform

D̲e̲v̲e̲l̲o̲p̲m̲e̲n̲t̲ a̲n̲d̲ d̲e̲l̲i̲v̲e̲r̲y̲

• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs and SOAP web services

• Develop integration components and microservices using Spring Boot and Apache Camel

• Manage the full API lifecycle: design, publishing, versioning, monitoring and retirement

• Implement and maintain automated build, deployment and CI/CD processes

• Use Infrastructure as Code to automate and standardise infrastructure and application deployments

O̲p̲e̲r̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲s̲ a̲n̲d̲ s̲u̲p̲p̲o̲r̲t̲

• Configure, maintain and support integration platforms and related components

• Monitor platform health, service availability and performance

• Troubleshoot message delivery, connectivity, performance and resiliency issues

• Investigate and resolve production incidents and performance bottlenecks

• Perform root cause analysis and contribute to corrective and preventive actions

• Support deployment and operation of integration services across environments

• Contribute to platform maintenance, upgrades and automation initiatives

G̲o̲v̲e̲r̲n̲a̲n̲c̲e̲ a̲n̲d̲ c̲o̲l̲l̲a̲b̲o̲r̲a̲t̲i̲o̲n̲

• Produce and maintain clear technical, solution and integration architecture documentation

• Ensure compliance with security, audit and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with solution architects, application, infrastructure and security teams

• Provide technical guidance and contribute to integration-related technical decisions

𝗘̲𝘀̲𝘀̲𝗲̲𝗻̲𝘁̲𝗶̲𝗮̲𝗹̲ 𝗿̲𝗲̲𝗾̲𝘂̲𝗶̲𝗿̲𝗲̲𝗺̲𝗲̲𝗻̲𝘁̲𝘀̲

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure

• Strong software development experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Strong experience with Apache Camel or similar enterprise integration frameworks

• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and API design principles

• Experience with SOAP web services and related technologies

• Good knowledge of databases and data access technologies

• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed architectures

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates

• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and integration architecture principles

• Experience troubleshooting and supporting integration solutions in production
