Senior Integration Specialist

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Integration Specialist to design, build and support scalable integration solutions within a large-scale enterprise technology environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong experience in Java and/or Go, APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

You will work across engineering, DevOps, SRE, Security and Architecture teams to deliver reliable, secure and highly observable integration services connecting enterprise platforms and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise integration services using Java and/or Go.
• Build and deploy containerised applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP) platforms.
• Develop and implement REST APIs, microservices and event-driven integration solutions.
• Design integrations across internal systems, enterprise applications, external partners and third-party platforms.
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements across performance, scalability, resilience and security.
• Implement observability and monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex production integration issues and drive improvements in platform reliability and stability.
• Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and infrastructure readiness.
• Apply security and data-protection best practices across APIs, integrations and data exchange.
• Participate in technical and design reviews and contribute to reusable integration patterns and engineering standards.
• Work closely with Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote strong development and operational practices.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in Integration, Middleware or Backend Engineering.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and/or Go (Golang).
• Proven experience building and deploying applications using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift (OCP).
• Hands-on experience implementing APIs, microservices and/or event-driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, messaging systems and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent.
• Experience working within cloud-native and distributed systems environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices and automation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability within production environments.
• Experience within a large-scale or complex enterprise environment would be advantageous.
