Senior Interaction Designer

Location: Södertälje, Sweden

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Contract: Ongoing assignment with 6-month extension periods

Language: Swedish and/or English

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver interaction and UX design activities for automotive HMI solutions.
• Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces and experiences using Figma .
• Create wireframes, interaction flows and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design concepts.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of ADAS-related functions and user experiences .
• Conduct user testing and usability sessions to understand user needs and validate design solutions.
• Analyze user feedback and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is correctly implemented.
• Work within established product requirements, strategic direction and technical constraints.
• Independently drive assigned design activities from concept through delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work proactively within a Lean Agile product development environment.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer or UI Designer .
• Strong experience within the automotive industry .
• Proven experience with Automotive HMI development/design .
• Practical experience designing interfaces and experiences related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) .
• Strong proficiency in Figma for UI design, interaction design and prototyping.
• Experience with user testing, usability testing and gathering user insights .
• Ability to independently plan, execute and take ownership of design assignments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Lean Agile / Agile development environments .
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including developers, product managers and engineers.
• University degree in Interaction Design, Technical Design, Industrial Design or an equivalent discipline.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Android Automotive systems.
• Knowledge of ADAS L2/L2++ functionality and user experience.
• Experience delivering user-centered solutions within fast-paced automotive product development environments.
• Experience working with large-scale automotive HMI platforms.
