Senior Interior Technical Drawing Designer

About the role

Senior Interior Technical Drawing Designer responsible for reading and producing interior drawings accurately and efficiently. The role involves understanding space functions and space planning, preparing and coordinating Furniture Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Electrical Layouts, and other related drawings. You will combine and coordinate drawings to ensure there are no clashes, overlaps, or conflicting details, develop detailed wall, ceiling, built-in, and furniture drawings, and ensure all details are practical, buildable, and suitable for on-site installation.

Key responsibilities

• Read and produce interior drawings accurately and efficiently
• Understand space functions and space planning
• Prepare and coordinate Furniture Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Electrical Layouts, and other related drawings
• Combine and coordinate drawings to ensure there are no clashes, overlaps, or conflicting details
• Develop detailed wall, ceiling, built-in, and furniture drawings
• Carefully check dimensions, levels, materials, and connections
• Ensure all details are practical, buildable, and suitable for on-site installation
• Identify potential technical issues and drawing clashes before construction
• Identify and resolve drawing and technical issues independently
• Work closely with Interior, Engineering, Procurement, and Site teams when required

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in interior technical drawing, interior design, or architectural drafting.
• Strong experience in Interior, Built-in Furniture, and Technical Drawing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with SketchUp, 3D software, or other relevant design tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Space Planning, Furniture Layout, Lighting, Electrical, and Interior Construction Details.
• Able to coordinate and combine drawings from different disciplines and identify potential clashes or technical issues.
• Good understanding of materials, dimensions, construction methods, and installation processes.
• Able to develop detailed Wall, Ceiling, Built-in, Furniture, and Construction Drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and buildable drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with Interior, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Site teams.
