Senior Internal Audit Analytics Specialist

Job Purpose

To analyze the collected data and accurately interpret the result for the Internal Audit Division in order to detect risks through analyzing the whole populations and to provide guidance to the auditors in their sampling decision/selection as well as to take proactive action in turning data into information, extracting actionable and effective insights, and business decision from it.

Location

Head Office, Phnom Penh (01 Post).

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Work closely with Head Office auditors during audit planning to identify where data analytics can enhance audit coverage
• Provide analytics insights to support audit scoping and risk assessment.
• Translate audit objectives, risks, and controls into practical analytics tests and scenarios
• Lead and perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, and analysis to support audit fieldwork
• Provide clear interpretation of analytics results to auditors for inclusion in working papers and audit reports
• Lead the design and execution of risk-based data analytics to enhance audit coverage, proactively identifying emerging risks, unusual patterns, and control gaps across business and operations functions.
• Develop and execute analytics scripts, queries, and dashboards for Head Office audits.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for audit data analytics, providing guidance, effective challenge, and coaching to auditors while promoting the adoption of advanced and continuous auditing analytics.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System/Business Informatics, Statistics, Economics, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum two years of experience in data analytics or related fields.
• Knowledge in large data analytics is an advantage.
• Experience in using data analytic tools, such as: Advanced Excel, Access, SQL, Power BI, etc. is preferable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to present results and write comprehensive reports.
• Ability to use and communicate in both Khmer and English.
• Good reading and writing skills in both Khmer and English.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
